Magha Pournami Observance
The Monthly Pournami Homam was conducted on 1st February to mark the auspicious Magha Pournami. In the evening, Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam was performed, followed by Konda Harathi, with the gracious presence of our Director, members of the School Management, Principal, and teachers. The Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam was also rendered by students and teachers on the stage of the Tirupati Book Festival.
18th Tirupati Book Festival – Inauguration
The 18th Tirupati Book Festival, organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, was inaugurated on 31 January 2026 at Nehru Municipal High School Playground. Sri K. V. Chowdary attended as Chief Guest, while Medasani Mohan was the Guest of Honour. The event was presided over by Dr Alladi Mohan. Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju emphasised the importance of reading and preserving Indian culture. The festival features 95 book stalls and has drawn dignitaries, teachers, students, and book enthusiasts.
Day 2 : 01 February2026 (Telugu Sahithya Vedika)
On 1 February 2026, the second day of the 18th Book Festival Kendra was dedicated to Telugu Sahithya Vedika. Presided over by Sri S. Dakshina Murthy, the event featured Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju, who described the festival as a cultural and intellectual platform. Sri R. C. Krishna Swamy Raju stressed preserving Telugu literature, and Dr. P. V. Ranganayakulu highlighted the theme “Today’s Reader, Tomorrow’s Leader.” The programme concluded with felicitation and a vote of thanks.

Day 3: 02 February 2026 | Theme: Annamayya Vedika
Day 3 of the Tirupati Book Festival was observed as “Annamayya Vedika” in honour of Tallapaka Annamacharya. Sri Nirmala Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Krea University, attended as Chief Guest, while Sri Medasani Mohan was the Guest of Honour and shared spiritual insights. The speakers highlighted the enduring relevance of Annamacharya’s compositions, and the programme concluded with felicitation and a vote of thanks.
Day 4 : 03 February 2026 | Shahji Maharaja Vedika
The 4th day of the Tirupati Book Festival was observed as “Shahji Maharaja Vedika.” The programme commenced with Bhavan’s prayer. The dignitaries highlighted the legacy and contributions of Shahji Maharaja and emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting reading habits among students. The event concluded with felicitation of the guests and a vote of thanks.
Day 5 : 04 February 2026 | Theme: Vignana Vedika
Day 5 of the Tirupati Book Festival was observed as “Vignana Vedika,” focusing on Science and Technology. An “Engineering in Action” orientation was conducted by faculty from Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati with interactive presentations. The evening session was presided over by Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju. Sri E. Balaraman of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati attended as Guest of Honour. Sri M. Bhupathi Naidu of Sri Venkateswara University graced the event as Chief Guest. Speakers highlighted science, innovation, and reading habits; the programme concluded with felicitation and a vote of thanks.
Day 6: 05 February 2026 | Pustaka Aavishkarana Vedika
Day 6 of the Tirupati Book Festival featured the release of Proverbs for Easy Understanding, Sundarakanda, and Neeru Pallamerugu. Madhuranthakam Narendra was Chief Guest, and Gali Guna Sekhar was Guest of Honour. Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju congratulated the authors and stressed preserving literature and reading culture. The programme concluded with felicitation of guests and a vote of thanks.
Day 7 of the Tirupati Book Festival focused on environmental protection, beginning with Bhavan’s Vedic Prayer. Sri S. Vijay Bhaskar Rao was Chief Guest, and Sri Alladi Mohan presided over the event. Speakers emphasized environmental awareness and cleanliness, while Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju highlighted the school’s eco-awareness initiatives. The programme concluded with felicitation and a vote of thanks.
150 students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra melodiously rendered Vande Mataram at the 18th Tirupati Book Festival, Vande Mataram Vedika, on 7-2-2026. The event was graced by Prof. Santana Bhattacharya, Director, IISER Tirupati; Prof. Sumantra Bose of Krea University; Sri Jagdish Prakash Lakhani, Executive Secretary, BVB Mumbai; and Smt. N. Maurya, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Tirupati. The books “Geya Kusumalu” by Dr. Nemileti Kittanna and “Loukika Bharatham Kosam Gandhi” (compiled work of five authors) were released.
The 18th Tirupati Book Festival, organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, concluded on 8 February 2026 at Sri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Municipal Corporation High School Grounds. Held from 31 January to 8 February, the nine-day festival drew overwhelming public participation and began its valedictory with Bhavan’s Vedic Prayer. K.N. Satyanarayana, Director of IIT Tirupati, presided over the function, promoting values and discipline through reading. Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju expressed thanks to the public. Sri Jagadish Lakhani honoured Bhavan’s 80-year legacy and founder K. M. Munshi. Smt. N. Mourya, I.A.S, praised efforts to promote reading, while Sri G.S.R. Krishna Murthy highlighted its impact on intellectual growth. Prizes and certificates were awarded, dignitaries felicitated, and the programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
During the Book Festival, vibrant cultural programmes were presented every evening by teachers, students, and alumni.

Farewell Fiesta 2026 – A Memorable Send-off to the 28th Batch
A heartfelt farewell for outgoing Class X students was hosted by Class IX on 4 February 2026 in the school auditorium, decorated with rangoli and welcome boards. The programme began with a prayer, followed by best wishes from the Director and Principal to the 28th Batch, and messages from teachers. Each student received a group photograph as a memento. The farewell concluded with refreshments and a cultural programme by Class XI, making the event a memorable celebration.
A Fond Adieu to the Outgoing Class XII Batch
On 4 February, Class XI students hosted a warm farewell for the outgoing Class XII batch. The programme began with a prayer for their bright future, followed by a welcome note and an inspiring message from the Director encouraging dedication and confidence. The Principal extended her best wishes for their success in higher studies and life ahead. The celebration concluded with refreshments and lively cultural performances by Class XI, making it a joyful and memorable send-off for the senior students.
Divine Blessings and Heartfelt Gratitude – A Memorable Day for Classes X & XII
On 5 February 2026, a special programme was held in the school auditorium for Classes X and XII, during which a pooja was offered to Goddess Saraswathi seeking blessings for the students’ Board examinations. Hall tickets were placed before the deity and later distributed with prayers for success. The Management and Principal also conveyed their blessings and encouraged the students to approach their exams with confidence and determination.
Gratitude Day
Following this, the students of Classes X and XII expressed their gratitude to the teachers in an emotional and touching gesture. They presented tokens of appreciation to all the staff members and delivered heartfelt speeches, acknowledging the constant guidance, support, and encouragement received throughout their academic journey. The day was a beautiful blend of devotion and gratitude, leaving lasting memories.
Eminent Dignitaries Grace the Campus
On 6 February 2026, Sri Jagadish Lakhani, Executive Secretary, BVB, Mumbai along with management members from Bhimavaram and Guntur Bhavan Kendras, visited the school. He was welcomed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour. The dignitaries paid floral tribute to the bust of Munshiji, Bhavan’s founder, and toured laboratories, library, and classrooms, interacting with students and observing academic activities. They appreciated the students’ discipline, work, and the institution’s commitment to excellence.
School CPR Awareness Programme
On 16 February 2026, the school held a CPR Awareness Programme in collaboration with SVIMS and the Society of Critical Care Medicine to teach life-saving skills. Around 100 students and teachers participated in hands-on training, learning proper CPR techniques and its importance in emergencies. The Director thanked SVIMS for the initiative and encouraged students to master and share the knowledge. The programme was informative, empowering participants to respond confidently in critical situations.
National Science Day Celebrated
National Science Day was celebrated on 19 February 2026, organized by the Science Club, honoring Sir C.V. Raman. The event featured a mini science exhibition with about 150 student projects on physics, chemistry, biodiversity, and inventions. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director, and Principal D. Padmaja appreciated efforts and fostered curiosity and responsibility. Competitions, prize distribution, and cultural performances added vibrancy to the celebration.
First-aid kits are donated by the Science Club to the school.
Celebration of International Mother Language Day
International Mother Language Day was observed on 23 February, organized by the Telugu Club. Students from Classes I to III recited Telugu poems, middle schoolers performed in their mother tongues and in foreign languages like Spanish, and Class VI presented a song celebrating their language. The Director appreciated their efforts, encouraging students to learn and preserve different languages and highlighting the importance of linguistic diversity.
Achievements
United World Records Achievement – Nunchaku Performance
B. Manosri and G. Dhana Shree of Andhra Pradesh were recognized by United World Records for their achievement in martial arts. They participated in the event “Most Number of Students Rotating Nunchaku in 1 Minute,” where 500 karatekas performed continuous alternate-hand rotations, showcasing coordination, endurance, and discipline. Their certificate was approved on 7 September 2025 and recorded in the United Book of Records. The students were felicitated by the Principal during the school assembly for bringing laurels to the institution.

M. Harshitha Sai Reddy and Dixit Rana secured Second Place in the Individual Kumite/Kata event in the Sub Junior category, at the NMA Karate Cup – 2026, organized by Naveen Martial Arts Academy and held at CPI Function Hall, Tirupati, on 14 February 2026. They were appreciated andcongratulated by the Principal for their commendable achievement.
Students appeared examination in Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha
On 15th February 2026, we conducted the Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha examination for the second consecutive year, with the school serving as the examination centre. The initiative enhanced students’ written expression, vocabulary, and confidence in Hindi, with many acknowledging improvement in grammar and presentation skills.
Saral Sanskrit Examination 2026
The Saral Sanskrit Examination was conducted on 23rd February in our school. A total of 194 students appeared for the Balbodh level and 55 students for the Prarambh level. The exam was conducted smoothly, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm for learning Sanskrit.
Outstanding Achievement in JEE Main and SAT
Our Class XII students achieved remarkable academic success. G. Nishanth Holla scored 97.65 percentile, S. Aadityan 97.39 percentile, and D. Pranav 90.28 percentile in JEE Main (Session-1), conducted by the National Testing Agency. Adding to the achievement, Yashasvi D scored 1480 out of 1600 in the SAT conducted by the College Board. The school community applauded their outstanding performance and dedication.
Chess Tournament Participation
Yuvan Shankar (Class III), G. Chikit Royal (Class III), and G. Ishan Royal (Class V) participated in the CheckM8 Rapid Chess Tournament conducted by Chess Klub Tirupati on 22nd February 2026. All three students received certificates for their participation and were appreciated during morning assembly.
Karate Championship Achievement
G.V. Aditya Ramana brought laurels to the school by securing First Place and winning the Gold Medal in the Individual Kumite event (Sub-Junior category) at the NMA Karate Cup – 2026, organized by Naveen Martial Arts Academy. The championship was held at CPI Function Hall, Tirupati, on 14th February 2026. The school congratulates Aditya Ramana and wishes him continued success in future competitions.
Teachers’ Orientation
Our teachers actively engaged in professional development to enhance teaching practices. Ms. N. Rekha and Mrs. N. Kavitha attended a two-day training on Competency-Based Assessment (Case Studies) for Social Science (Grades 9–10) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education at the Centre of Excellence, Guntur, on 14–15 February 2026. The programme enriched their understanding of competency-based evaluation and effective assessment strategies.
Workshop on Manodharma Sangitam
Dr Lalitha Sivajyothi and Dr. D.P.S.S. Rajeswari , Smt. G. Sailaja participated in a workshop on Manodharma Sangitam organized by the Department of Music, Dance & Fine Arts at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on 18th and 19th February 2026. The workshop enhanced their creative and pedagogical skills in music and performing arts.
